Customer Pricing Overview

Overview

We look at how to calculate the price of an item. There are 2 scenarios:


Item Price

Each item has 10 possible prices. If the user has not logged into the system, you will choose 1 of the 10 possible prices to display to the user for that particular item.

In most cases, the choice of which price to use will be based on the default price indicator of the store (each store has a default price indicator 1-10).

eg. If the store that you are using has price indicator 5, then you will display item price 5.


Customer Price

When you create a customer, you need to specify a default price indicator for that customer.

When the customer logs into your system, you will display the item price based on the customer price indicator.

eg. If Customer John Doe has price indicator 4, then you will display item price 4.

The default price indicator for a customer can be:

0 Store Default Price The customer does not have a specific default price. The customer will get charged the store default price (1-10)

72 Discount Price 2 Shows price 2 but also includes the discount. ie Price 1 (Retail Price) - Price 2 (Final Price)
73 Discount Price 3 Shows price 3 but also includes the discount. ie Price 1 (Retail Price) - Price 3 (Final Price)
74 Discount Price 4 Shows price 4 but also includes the discount. ie Price 1 (Retail Price) - Price 4 (Final Price)
75 Discount Price 5 Shows price 5 but also includes the discount. ie Price 1 (Retail Price) - Price 5 (Final Price)
76 Discount Price 6 Shows price 6 but also includes the discount. ie Price 1 (Retail Price) - Price 6 (Final Price)
77 Discount Price 7 Shows price 7 but also includes the discount. ie Price 1 (Retail Price) - Price 7 (Final Price)
78 Discount Price 8 Shows price 8 but also includes the discount. ie Price 1 (Retail Price) - Price 8 (Final Price)
79 Discount Price 9 Shows price 9 but also includes the discount. ie Price 1 (Retail Price) - Price 9 (Final Price)
80 Discount Price 10 Shows price 10 but also includes the discount. ie Price 1 (Retail Price) - Price 10 (Final Price)
